“I had a great experience working with Sam and the entire team at IBJ.  Sam quickly got to know my style and preferences but also brought design elements and ideas that were so perfect and really made each room in our new home unique and elegant. She has such an eye for colors, patterns, accessories, furniture styles that made the whole process easy, less overwhelming and fun especially as we were making decision on all interior elements such as cabinets, tiles, flooring, bathroom/kitchen surfaces, lighting, rugs, paint colors, furnishings, and the list goes on and on to fully decorate an entire home.  But she also helped with exterior colors, siding, lighting, etc. so it was a full house interior/exterior design.  

From the very first meeting, I felt that Sam and the team were focused on the customer experience and ensuring she got to know what was most important to my husband and I in the look, feel, style of the home we wanted to create.  The process was also very organized which I appreciated since it was a new build and she knew when we needed to make selections that would align to having items ready for the builders.  Plus she knew the builder and his team well and had a very close partnership with them.  So it felt very seamless the building of the home process together with the interior/exterior design.  Another important element was that Sam would also catch building design elements that needed to be adjusted and worked with us and the builder to ensure those were incorporated as the house was being built.   I also liked that she worked with high quality vendors, suppliers, etc. which was an important when we decided to work with IBJ.  I knew we were getting great quality in the furniture, accessories, etc. that we purchased.   

We can’t say enough of how wonderful it felt at our home closing to walk into a home that felt complete.  She helped us create a home that is truly our peaceful and happy place.  And to have all elements of the home finished down to artwork on the walls and areas rugs already down on closing day (with a few items still to be picked out or still to be delivered), we could relax and enjoy this vacation home on day one.  We love everything that she helped us select and the style and feel of the place is exactly what we had envisioned and wanted  - tranquil, relaxing, sophisticated, comfortable and soothing.   

How did our process make this process easier and more enjoyable? Was there a specific moment or event that you’d like to highlight? 

Was so well organized, never feeling rushed and always providing great ideas and options to choose from.  It can be overwhelming with all the decisions that would go into a newly constructed home but Sam was with us every step of the way, keeping us on track with making decisions.  I appreciated the great options she would present to us as there were some decisions I made which I would have never considered or even would have thought about on my own. What I appreciated with Sam is she could help us visual a room through just the storyboards so when the day came and the house was complete, the room looked exactly or even better than we had envisioned. 

What’s your favorite part of your new space, and how does it make you feel?

The entire house is inviting, relaxing and perfect.  Each room has elements that I just love whether it is a special chandelier that I would have never thought to put in a particular room/space that she suggested or the color scheme to bring the essence of the beach, water to create a soothing and relaxing space.  No detail was missed and Sam was there helping us with every feature to create a space that feels complete and welcoming.
